Our 14th bistrot is now open in the Friars Walk retail and leisure development in the heart of Newport.
This brand new development is located on the bank of the River Usk close to the Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre, Dolman Theatre and the infamous Rodney Parade, home to the Newport Rugby Football Club. Click here to find out more about the Friars Walk development.
Our ‘raison d’être’ is great value French cooking and seasonal menus. We like to combine French bistrot classics such as steak-frites, boeuf bourguignon and crème brûlée with our own take on regional favourites like tarte flambée, confit de canard and pâté de campagne. Our relaxed and friendly bistrots are the place to go for any occasion.
Open seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner we have something for everyone, from our two-course prix-fixe lunch for £11.95 to our two course pre theatre menu for £14.95 and our evening à la carte menu. We also offer gluten-free menus and a children's menu, which comes with our bespoke14 page activity pack.

At lunchtimes we only take bookings for eight or more people. However, we do accept bookings for smaller parties on special occasions such as Mothering Sunday and Father’s Day.
Bank Holiday Monday opening hours are the same as Sunday opening hours.

General Manager - Nathan
Having worked in hospitality management for over 15 years, Nathan joined our Torquay team in 2014, where his beard and skills were quickly noticed. His love for food, wine and people brought him home to his roots in South Wales, taking up the role of General Manager of our Newport bistrot.
Head Chef - Silviu
Silviu started his career in Romania after finishing culinary school. He then went on to work in several restaurants both in Romania and in the UK. Silviu joined our bistrot family in 2013, working as a Chef de Partie at our Cardiff bistrot. His passion for food helped him to grow in the role, as he was shortly promoted to Senior Sous Chef. He then joined our Newport bistrot where he progressed to Head Chef.
