Residence One
Residence One, a Grade II* listed building located within the historic Royal William Yard is the perfect destination when staying in the Ocean City of Plymouth. The building, once home to a Royal Navy Admiral, has been lovingly restored bringing the house back to its former glory. This boutique B&B is full of periodic features and character, and offers 14 individually styled bedrooms.
Parking
We proudly offer complementary parking for our guests, with one parking pass issued for each room booked. Parking between 12pm on the day of arrival until 12pm on the day of departure is included, any times required before or after should be paid directly to the pay and display meter. There is no need to book your parking in advance. Parking for additional cars is also paid directly via the pay and display meter.
Accessible access
Our Grade II* listed building radiates period charm with architectural features dating back to 1800s, but this does mean we are unable to provide accessible and lift access. We have four ground floor rooms available, but please note there are a few steps up to the entrance of the building.

Our classic double room boasts a luxury double Sealy bed with goose feather and down pillows and duvet. The room retains much of its original period charm, including the refurbished window shutters and cast iron radiators, while seamlessly blending in modern comforts. This room comes with an en-suite bathroom featuring a power shower and luxury toiletries.
King
Sleeps up to 2
Our sleek and stylish King rooms features luxury double Sealy beds with goose feather and down pillows and duvets for a restful night’s sleep. The room beautifully preserves its original period features, including the refurbished window shutters and cast iron radiators, but also offers all modern comforts. This room comes with an en-suite bathroom featuring a refreshing power shower and luxury toiletries.
We are dog friendly in one of our King rooms.
Super King/Twin
Sleeps up to 3
These spacious rooms can be made up either as a Super King or a Twin, and are equipped with goose feather and down pillows and duvets for ultimate comfort. This room comes with an en-suite bathroom featuring a power shower and luxury toiletries.
Add a single bed to this room to make it suitable for three guests for £22.50 (bed and breakfast).
Family Suite

Located on the lower ground floor, our spacious and stylish suite contains a king-sized bedroom, bathroom and a separate living room containing a small double sofa bed, which can sleep up to 2 children or 1 adult. This room comes with an en-suite bathroom featuring a power shower and luxury toiletries.
Room price is for 2 adults. Option available to add more guests on to this booking.
Dining
Just across the charming green from our rooms, you’ll find our relaxed and friendly bistrot in the New Cooperage building. It’s the perfect spot for a leisurely breakfast, a delicious lunch, or an intimate dinner, featuring classic French dishes like Steak Frites and Boeuf Bourguignon, as well as seasonal specials that our Chefs change regularly. Our Bar Pierre is the perfect place for a drink, a cosy coffee break or quick bite to eat during your stay.
All guests staying with us can enjoy a complimentary, freshly prepared breakfast, served daily from 8–11:30am. Choose from a traditional Full English, Mixed Berry French Toast, or indulge in Eggs Benedict to start your day in style!
